Prof. Piotr H. Skarżyński, MD, PhD, MSc — a distinguished specialist in otorhinolaryngology, paediatric otorhinolaryngology, audiology and phoniatrics, and ear surgery — has received one of the highest international distinctions in his field.
On 28 May 2025, at the 96th Congress of the German Society of Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Hals-Nasen-Ohren-Heilkunde, Kopf- und Hals-Chirurgie) in Frankfurt am Main, Prof. Piotr H. Skarżyński was officially nominated as a Corresponding Member of the Society. The ceremonial nomination was presented by Prof. Timo Stöver, the congress president and a world-class otorhinolaryngologist.
Corresponding Membership is an exceptional distinction, awarded rarely and only to the most outstanding figures in global otorhinolaryngology, in recognition of their scientific, clinical, implementation and organisational achievements.
Prof. Piotr H. Skarżyński has actively participated in international scientific and educational projects for many years, and his achievements are widely recognised around the world. This nomination confirms his individual contribution and symbolises Poland’s growing role in global otorhinolaryngology.
