Prof. Piotr H. Skarżyński ranked 15th on the prestigious List of One Hundred 2022 of the most influential people in Polish medicine.
‘I see this special distinction as a great success for the entire team I work with in Poland and other European countries, Asia and Africa,’ emphasises Prof. Piotr H. Skarżyński. ‘I thank my team of 630 professionals dedicated to patients. I am pleased that we can implement and promote the achievements of Polish otolaryngology at home and worldwide, and that it is appreciated by patients and the wider community alike.’
Prof. Piotr H. Skarżyński’s successes in the previous year included his unanimous election as president-elect from 2023 and president from 2024 of the International Advisory Board of the American Academy of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery. At the end of the previous year, he was appointed to the board of the International Society for Telemedicine and eHealth (ISfTeH). He was also elected to the Council of the National Science Centre, a grant agency supporting basic research. The University of Warsaw’s Faculty of Management named him its 50th Anniversary Alumnus.
The List of One Hundred poll, organised for 20 years by the editors of ‘Puls Medycyny’, is regarded as Poland’s most important ranking of its kind. It recognises the achievements that have distinguished nominees during the year in various fields of medicine and healthcare.
