Medical experts, including Prof. Piotr H. Skarżyński, discussed telemedicine in Poland on Wiktor Niedzicki’s Halo Radio programme. The Professor stressed the importance of comprehensive care, from diagnosis to rehabilitation, and recalled the beginnings of telemedicine in Poland.
The discussion covered every aspect of telemedicine, including its models — symmetrical and asymmetrical — its numerous undeniable benefits, and the particularities of working with international patients. The National Network of Teleaudiology also encompasses centres in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Ukraine, Belarus and Senegal. The experts explained why some telemedicine consultations are difficult. All participants agreed that telemedicine would certainly continue to develop.
