Prof. Piotr H. Skarżyński, MD, PhD, MSc, has become an Associate Member of the prestigious American Neurotology Society. He is the second Polish member of ANS and its youngest international member.
The society’s main objective is to improve healthcare by investing in and supporting specialists’ development. At the 1st ANS Business Meeting, held during the 53rd Annual Spring Meeting in National Harbor, Maryland, USA, on 21 April 2018, 26 new American members and two from other countries were admitted: one from Poland and one from Turkey. Most of the American Neurotology Society’s more than 650 members are American scientists, with a smaller international group of 45 members representing Saudi Arabia, Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Denmark, France, the Netherlands, India, Japan, Canada, Kenya, Colombia, Germany, Peru, Poland, Singapore, Switzerland, Sweden, Turkey and the United Kingdom.
The only Polish representatives in the American Neurotology Society are Prof. Henryk Skarżyński, MD, PhD, holder of multiple honorary doctorates, and Prof. Piotr H. Skarżyński, MD, PhD, MSc, reflecting their deep commitment to promoting Polish medicine worldwide.
