On 18 and 19 March, Monday and Tuesday, residents of Toruń can take advantage of free hearing tests.
The Mobile Hearing Center will be at the Copernicus Hotel, Bulwar Filadelfijski 11, from 10:00 to 17:00 on 18 March and 10:00 to 14:30 on 19 March.
The tests are being organised through cooperation between the World Hearing Center, the MEDINCUS Center of Hearing and Speech and the organisers of the Welconomy economic congress in Toruń.
The campaign is open to everyone, both regional residents and tourists visiting Toruń. Children aged 7 and over are also welcome.
The tests are non-invasive, painless and take only a few minutes. The Mobile Hearing Center is a ‘doctor’s surgery on wheels’, a specialist vehicle equipped with an ENT consultation room and a hearing screening booth.
Alongside testing, participants can seek advice from doctors at the Kujawsko-Pomorskie MEDINCUS Center of Hearing and Speech in Ciechocinek.

Hearing underpins communication in modern society and should be checked at every age. Previous screening indicates that approximately 16–19% of Polish children may have hearing-related problems that can hinder speech and social development. Hearing problems are also a serious issue for older adults: almost three quarters of people aged 70 are estimated to have hearing disorders. The number of adults living with some form of hearing loss is expected to double by 2060.
