The List of One Hundred 2020 is a poll organised by the editors of ‘Puls Medycyny’. Now in its 19th year, it recognises people with the greatest positive influence on the development of Polish medicine. Professor Piotr H. Skarżyński is among those honoured in the medicine category, in 16th place.
The organisers emphasised that 2020 was an exceptional year dominated by the pandemic. Healthcare workers were on the front line against the difficult adversary of COVID-19. Compared with the previous year, the List of One Hundred 2020 of the most influential people in Polish medicine recorded:
- 29 rises;
- 40 falls;
- 2 unchanged positions;
- 29 people entering the ranking for the first time or returning after an absence.
The list was compiled in two categories: Medicine and Healthcare System. The organisers prepared a publication reviewing this year’s List of One Hundred. It contains interviews and profiles of the top ten people in both categories and promoters of knowledge. Congratulations to all winners and those honoured on the List of One Hundred 2020.
