On 18 February 2019, ‘Puls Medycyny’ announced the winners of the ‘List of One Hundred — the most influential people in Polish medicine and healthcare’. Associate Professor Piotr H. Skarżyński, MD, PhD, entered the medical ranking for the first time, in 34th place.
For 16 years, ‘Puls Medycyny’ has recognised people with a particular influence on Polish medicine. The jury assesses achievements in 2018, professional reputation and influence within the community, and public impact. The total points determine the ranking.
Prof. Mirosław Wielgoś, Rector of the Medical University of Warsaw, led the medical category, while Health Minister Prof. Łukasz Szumowski was named the most influential person in Poland’s healthcare system.
