Prof. Piotr H. Skarżyński has been included among the most influential people in medicine. For 17 years, ‘Puls Medycyny’ has recognised people with a particular influence on the development of Polish medicine, and for 5 years also those contributing to improvements in Poland’s healthcare system. As every year, nominees were assessed by a panel of distinguished experts.
The jury assessed nominees in three categories: achievements in 2019, professional reputation and influence within the community, and strength of public impact. Each juror could award between 0 and 10 points in each category. Ranking positions were determined by the total points across all categories.
The results were announced during a formal gala at the Westin hotel in Warsaw on 27 February.
