It also motivates us to work even more effectively in future and confirms that we have followed the right path,’ said Prof. Piotr H. Skarżyński in an interview for readers of ‘Pracodawca Godny Zaufania’.
The specialist presented projects completed in recent years and outlined planned activities.
‘In otolaryngology, complications following COVID-19 will be a major challenge. Unfortunately, they are numerous and span a broad range of problems, including complete deafness. We cannot yet determine the precise scale: many people only realise after some time that something is still wrong with their hearing. But we know this challenge will face us in the coming years,’ Prof. Piotr H. Skarżyński told the website. This is one of the challenges specialists encounter daily. Another, he explained, is the growing number of allergies, leading to upper respiratory problems. These particularly affect children, who consequently suffer more frequent infections, such as ear infections, or problems with their tonsils.
